Golden Inca Berry Review

Organic, Dried Golden Inca Berries come next in the Elements for Life product review lineup. They are also known as Aguaymanto berries, Golden berries, Peruvian Gooseberries, Topotopo (Quechua), Cuchuva (Aymara), and Motojobobo embolsado (Spanish).
I think my favorite two things about this “goji berry of South America” are the taste and the fact that they have more protein ounce per ounce than goji berries!
The sun-fire orange berries are sweet, yet tangy, on your taste buds. They almost remind me of little sour candies (maybe I should bring them to the movie theater next time I go?). I love them because they’re unlike any other superfood I have in flavor. Dried mulberries and goji berries do not come even close and do not have any “tangy-ness” to them whatsoever. I like to eat them when I have a sweet tooth (usually after dinner) because just a small handful extinguishes that craving and I don’t have to turn to raw ice cream or cookies ? Saved by the Inca Berry!
Inca Berries are a source of complete protein (meaning they have all amino acids needed to form a protein molecule). They actually have 16% protein on average compared to goji berries (13-14%). I found these some of these numbers on David’s website here.
Here are some more nutrients Inca Berries have to offer us, taken from the Elements for Life website:
“These special berries from Peru contain a broad spectrum of B-vitamins and are reputed to be one of the only known plant-based sources of B12, a crucial and potent energy generator necessary for cellular metabolism. Loaded with nutrients, these energizing super berries will make your Body as happy as your taste buds!
“Golden Inca Berries are a good source of bioflavinoids, which possess anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antiviral properties. They are high in phosphorus and vitamins A, C, B1, B2, B6, and B12. For a fruit, they are a good source of protein and rich in Pectin.”
Here are some other notes I’ve taken while listening to David Wolfe/Elements for life calls:
-Inca Berries are have adaptogenic properties meaning it can help strengthen your body in times of fatigue or stress.
-Inca Berries help to produce tryptophan which can help you get happy ?
-The Niacin found in Inca Berries can help people with a tobacco addiction, because these people use have a vitamin B3 (niacin) deficiency.
Have you tried Inca Berries before? What do you think of them?
