Spirit Fest and Elements for Life Blue Green Algae Review

Hi All,
This Thursday morning I’ll be flying to Phoenix, Arizona, and then driving to Sedona to attend the annual Raw Spirit Festival . (If you still want to go, it’s not too late, they are still tickets available). I am so incredibly excited for this event. I just know some amazing things are going to happen. There will be new connections, new friends, new ideas (for me), new, health technologies, new clothes (perhaps?), new companies, new superfoods, and lots more to be sure! I’m bringing a camcorder with me and hope to use the shots for YouTube videos as well as for the upcoming Raw Food Lifestyle DVD.
Elements for Life is a huge sponsor of the event too, and will be handing out plenty of shots/samples of Gold Rush, Noni Fire, Marine Phytoplankton, and Revitaphi. Everyone will get a chance to see how awesome these products are ?
Which brings me to my next EFL review: Blue Green Algae . Many of you may have heard of the main company, E3 Live who sells Blue Green Algae (Aphanizomenon flos-aquae/AFA). I was buying a $30 bottle of E3 Live practically every month, ever since going raw over two years ago. I loved the stuff but found it was too expensive to keep up for the rest of my life (not-sustainable) and a real pain to constantly have to defrost only a week’s worth of it every week (not-fun). So I finally stopped, figuring I take in enough other green superfoods to justify skipping out on this one. But I missed it. I missed all of those essential fatty acids and various other phytonutrients and rare trace minerals only found in blue-green algae.
Recently Elements for Life’s Blue Green Algae has come to my rescue. It is harvested from the spring-fed waters of Upper Klamath Lake, Oregon, and dried using state of the art technology to preserve all of the enzymes and phytonutrients so you don’t loose anything by not taking it in liquid form. The flakes are absolutely gorgeous (see pic above). This looks nothing like some other blue green algae powder that I bought about eight months ago online and never really got into. Another fantastic thing about this product is how long one 2 oz. jar will last you. It costs $28 online (retail) but will last (I’m just guessing here) about four months. This is a great! I just put a teaspoon into my green smoothies or superfood smoothies and can’t even taste it (it says on the label ¼ tsp is the recommended serving but you can handle a lot more, especially if you’ve been taking E3 Live).
Did you know that blue green algae is overabundant in beta carotene and B12, as well as protein and other antioxidants? Due to the flakiness of this product, you could probably sprinkle it onto salads too, just as you would kelp, seaweed, or spirulina flakes.
Check it out if you want and enjoy!
Here is a clip of David Wolfe taking about Blue Green Algae. I ask him what the difference is between Blue Green Algae and E3Live:
